    A tropical species of Asian origin, perennial to over-wintering annual herb to ca. 1 m tall. Introduced as a weed of rice fields, now well-established and locally naturalized, observed since 2010 in cultivated fields on alluvial deposits along the Strymonas river. Actually not known to occur elsewhere in the Euro+Med area.
