Carex remota subsp. alta

Description

Leaves in the lower ⅓ of the stem, shorter to longer than the stems, flat, scabrid on the margins especially towards the long-attenuated apex, 1.5-4 mm wide;

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: India present; Jawa (Jawa presentpresent); Thailand (Thailand present), Central China present, Himalaya present, from Mt Patuha in W. to Jang in E present
Insufficiently known; according to literature from India (Himalaya) to Central China; C. craspedotricha Nelmes from Thailand undoubtedly belongs here. The type collection of both C. alta Boott and C. brizopyrum Kunze are from Java; in Malesia only known from Java (from Mt Patuha in W. to Jang in E.).
