Description
Leaves situated throughout the stem.
Inflorescence an umbellate panicle, the lower 2-3 bracts long, foliaceous.
Flowers compressed, the 2 outer hypogynous scales subopposite, folded, transverse and sharply keeled, the 2 inner ones flat or concave, parallel with the glumes.
