Description

Small tree to 10 m; Leaves chartaceous, elliptic, 14-20 by 6.5-8.5 cm, acuminate at apex, the acumen 4-10 mm long, cuneate at base, glabrous on both surfaces; Stipules lanceolate, acute, glabrous, sub-persistent, c. 5 mm long. Inflorescence of subterminal racemes or little branched, the rachis brown pilose pubescent; Petals spathulate, 6 mm long, clawed. Stamens 8-10, united into a unilateral ligule for half of length. Ovary densely pilose. Fruit unknown.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present), Penang present
Malesia: Malay Peninsula (Penang). Known only from the type collection.
