Description

Bark surface usually becoming V-section fissured. Branchlets of raceme short; Leaf with scalariform tertiary nerves; Stipules, bracts and bracteoles usually caducous, rarely subpersistent (S. quadrinervis, S. acuminata). Stamens 15, in 3 verticils; Ovary with distinct stylopodium, both +- densely tomentose;

Asia-Tropical: Borneo present; Malaya present; Sumatera (Sumatera present), Banka present, Peninsular Thailand present
Peninsular Thailand and Malesia: Malaya, Sumatra, Banka, Borneo.
