Notes
The specimens here included from Normanby and Fergusson Is are smaller than the type and from lower elevations; they have stipes less spiny, pinnules to 82 by 20 mm. They also show elongate narrow setiferous scales on costae; pos- sibly these were caducous on the type specimen.
