Urceodiscus carrii

Description

Small vine, leafy stem 1 mm diam., plant sparsely hairy, glabrescent, green on drying. Leaves: Fruit solitary, ripening glossy red, subglobose, 1-1.5 cm diam.; Seeds numerous, pale brownish yellow, ovoid, 4-4.5 by 2-3 by 2-2.5 mm, margin narrow.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: New Guinea present, eastern Papua New Guinea present
New Guinea (eastern Papua New Guinea).

Morphology

The female flowers were not fully studied as Carr 13892 (BM) bears the only female flower known.
