Gynostemma pentaphyllum f. simplicifolium

Description

Plant as forma pentaphyllum, but leaves simple, occasionally with a few 2 (or 3) foliolate leaves among the simple leaves.

Asia-Temperate, Asia-Tropical: Borneo present (Sabah present, Sarawak present); India present; Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present); Philippines (Philippines present), Basilan present, Myanmar present, Pahang present, West Java present

Morphology

Simple-leaved (not foliolate) forms have been found almost all over the area of the species. Plants from the type locality in West Java have a relatively long petiole, almost as long as the rather narrow leaf blade. In simple-leaved forms from other localities the petiole is generally shorter.
