Notes

Kern (in manuscript) reduced C. pullei to C. turrita with a question-mark. He noted: "It seems to differ mainly by the smaller utricles only 3-4 mm long, and may represent a depauperated state". Nelmes described the utricles as being "almost nerveless to rather slenderly 1-3-nerved". As these were the only differences between C. turrita and C. merrillii, I have reduced the latter to a variety of the former.
