Xanthophyllum macrophyllum

Description

Shrub or tree, up to 25 m, up to 30 cm dbh. Leaf-blade (10-)14-28 by (3.8—)4.5—10 cm, base often curved upwards and de-current-attenuate; Inflorescences sometimes un-branched, shorter than the leaves; Sepals shortly appressedly brownish hairy outside, ribbed inside; Petals yellow, or white and the upper ones with a yellow spot, when dry yellowish to dark-brown, the longest one 13-16 mm long; Stamens: Ovary sessile or shortly stipitate, creamish brown, often about 8-ribbed when dry, the median ribs most prominent and hairy over ⅓-⅔ their length, the other ribs hairy in apical part only; Fruit c. 2 cm diam., brownish to blackish, ribbed in apical part, thick-walled.

Asia-Tropical: Borneo present (Sabah present, Sarawak present)
Malesia: Borneo (Sarawak, Sabah).
