Trithecanthera scortechinii

Description

Glabrous. Leaves in whorls of 6; lamina narrowly ovate to oblong, 18-24 by 6-9 cm, cuneate or truncate at the base to a petiole 25-40 mm long, shortly attenuate and acute at the apex, dull on both sides; venation pinnate with the midrib distinct above and prominent below and the main laterals faintly visible on both sides. Inflorescences at the nodes, a raceme of many flowers in 6 spirals; axis 20-40 mm long, 3-4 mm thick, with a non-flowerbearing basal part 3-7 mm long, with a mucronate sterile tip c. 1 mm long; pedicels 1-1.5 mm long.
