I have not seen the type specimen. It is very doubtful whether STEUDEL'S incomplete description refers to a species of Lepidosperma. Nothing is said about the presence or absence and the shape of a perigone. The description of the nut (“achenio. points to Machaerina than to Lepidosperma. See stylo basi persistente tomentoso coronato”) rather Machaerina glomerata in note on p. 698.
