Description
Climber, 2-5 m;
Leaves:
Fruit subglobose-ellipsoid, 1-1.3 cm long, dull brown, coarsely wrinkled on drying;
Seed 1, globose, c. 7 mm diam., dark brown with a faint paler margin, smooth.
Distribution
Asia-Tropical: Sumatera (Sumatera present)
Sumatra, only known from the type.
Taxonomy
Kedrostis hirta is similar to K. bennettii, the latter is glabrous and has a long many-flowered male inflorescence, to 15 cm long.
