Description

Tree, 10-33 m by 15-50 cm Ø, sometimes with stout buttresses; Branchlets glabrous, slender, bark finely fissured, greyish; Leaves chartaceous, 5-13 by 2-4 cm (index 2.3-3.6), widest at the middle to slightly below; Stipules linear-acute, 2-3½ by ½ mm. Fruit solitary, ovoid to compressed-reniform, 1½-2 by 1-1½ cm, adaxially flat, wall 1-2 mm thick, woody, completely adnate to the cupule, rugose and glabrous;

Asia-Tropical: Borneo present (Brunei present, Sabah present, Sarawak present)
Malesia: Borneo (Sarawak, Brunei, and Sabah).

Notes

Records of this species for SE. China, Hainan, and Formosa could not be confirmed.
Near C. johorensis and C. wallichii; see the key.
