Dipterocarpus elongatus

Description

Twigs, leaf bud, stipule outside and petiole with ± dense, +- caducous, very long red-brown tufted tomentum; Leaves 28-50 by 13-20 cm, elliptic, coriaceous; Stipule to 15 by 2.5 cm, hastate, acute. Flowers unknown.

Distribution

Anambas Is present, Asia-Tropical: Borneo present; Malaya present (Singapore present); Sumatera (Sumatera present), Central and E. Johore present, Kapuas valley present, Kelantan present, Langkat Distr present, Lingga Arch present, S. China Sea present, S.E. Kalimantan present, Sarawak N.E. of Rejang present, Serdang present
Malesia: Malaya (E. coast: Kelantan to Central and E. Johore and Singapore), eastern Sumatra (Serdang and Langkat Distr.), Lingga Arch., Anambas Is. (S. China Sea), Borneo (Sarawak N.E. of Rejang, Kapuas valley, S.E. Kalimantan).

Notes

Closely allied to the previous two species and differing from D. humeratus principally in the fruit.
