Description

Twig, midrib and nerves below +- densely +- caducously shortly pale golden-yellow pubescent. Leaves 15-20 by 6-10 cm, ovate-lanceolate, thickly coriaceous, strongly folded between the 15-20 pairs of prominent nerves; Stipule to 4 by 3 cm, broadly deltoid, acute. Stamens c. 30, shorter than the style; Ovary ovoid-conical, tapering, densely pubescent;

Asia-Tropical: Borneo present (Sabah present, Sarawak present); Malaya present, Batu Is present, Kapuas valley present, Kuantan Distr present, Langkat present, Langsa present, P. Singkep present, Perak present, Tidung present, eastern Sumatra present
Malesia: Malaya (Perak, E. coast), P. Singkep, eastern Sumatra (Kuantan Distr., Langsa, Langkat, Batu Is.), Borneo (Kapuas valley, Sarawak to Sabah; Tidung).

Notes

Specimens from Malaya north of Johore and from Sumatra and Singkep bear smaller leaves and more slender twigs and petioles.
