Description

Medium-sized tree. Twigs, petioles, leaf buds, midrib above, panicles and nut densely persistently tawny scabrid pubescent, leaf nervation beneath sparsely so, calyx outside caducously so; Leaves 6-11 by 2.5-5 cm, elliptic to narrowly obovate, coriaceous; Panicles to 3.5 cm long, short, axillary, twice branched from the bases, many- flowered and appearing congested about the bases of the leaves.
