Leaf bud and parts of petals exposed in bud persistently cream pubescent, calyx and ovary thus at first, becoming sparsely pubescent; parts otherwise sparsely fugaceous puberulent, glabrescent.
Leaves 7.5-15 by (2-)2.5-6 cm, elliptic- oblong, thinly coriaceous;
