Weinmannia negrosensis

Description

Shrub or tree 3-25 m high, up to 30 cm dhb when 12 m high. Leaves simple or trifoliolate; Stipules suborbicular, up to 1.5 by 1.7 cm. Inflorescence usually 4 dyads or tetrads, sometimes a few successive nodes flowering simultaneously; Flowers unisexual and plants dioecious; Capsule with valves 2-2.5 by 1.3-1.5 mm at dehiscence; Seeds 0.8-0.9 mm long, comose at both ends, the hairs to c. 1 mm long.

Asia-Tropical: Philippines (Philippines present); Sulawesi (Sulawesi present), Leyte present, Luzon present, Mindanao present, Mindoro present, Negros present, Sibuyan present
Malesia: Philippines (Luzon, Mindanao, Sibuyan, Negros, Leyte, Mindoro) and Sulawesi (1 collection).
