Description

Tree up to 26 m tall. internal hairs abundant, sparse, or absent. Leaves spirally arranged; stipules 1-2 cm long, (sub)glabrous or partly yellowish appressed-puberulous, caducous.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: Maluku (Maluku present); New Guinea present, Morotai present, Ternate present
Malesia: Moluccas (Bacan Island, Morotai, Ternate), New Guinea.

Morphology

The species is occasionally cauliflorous ().
