Quercus argentata

Description

Tree, 7-37 m, 20-100 cm ø; Branchlets glabrous, densely lenticellate, greyish brown; Leaves coriaceous, elliptic- or lanceolate-oblong, 8-22 by 3-7 cm; Stipules linear-acute, densely stiff-pubescent, 3-5 by 1-1½ mm. Fruit elongated conical or ovoid-globose, attenuate towards the acute top and rounded base, 3-3½ by 1½ cm.

Anambas Is present, Asia-Tropical: Borneo present (Brunei absent); Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present, Singapore present); Sumatera (Sumatera present), Banka present, Johore present, Malacca present, P. Laut present, Selangor present, Trengganu present, West Java present
Malesia: Sumatra (scattered), also Banka, Malay Peninsula (Malacca, Selangor, Johore, Trengganu, and Singapore), Anambas Is., Borneo (all parts except Brunei; also P. Laut), West Java.
