Quercus nivea

Description

Tree, c. 25 m, c. 40 cm ø; Branchlets with a dense brownish, stellate tomentum, glabrescent; Leaves thick-coriaceous, elliptic-oblong or lanceolate-oblong, 6-15 by 2½-5½ cm; Stipules linear-acute, stel-late-tomentose, 2-3 by ½-1 mm. Fruit obovoid-globose, c. 2 by 2 cm, top depressed, base convex.

Asia-Tropical: Borneo present (Sarawak present); Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present), Mts Gaharu present, Pahang present, Pueh present, Trengganu present
Malesia: Malay Peninsula (Pahang, Trengganu), Borneo (Sarawak, Mts Gaharu and Pueh).
