Description
Tree to 25 m, 40 cm ø.
Leaves glabrous, elliptic to obovate with cuneate base and acuminate apex, 15-35 by 6-11 cm;
Stamens c. 60 to more than 100.
Ovary glabrous, 1-1½ vcim high;
Fruit ovoid or ellipsoid, royal blue, 2½-4 by l½-2cm, with chartaceous mesocarp;
Seed straight with straight embryo.

Asia-Tropical: Borneo present; Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present), W. Kutei present, continental Asia present
Continental Asia (Indo-China), in Malesia: Malay Peninsula and Borneo (only once: W. Kutei).
