Symplocos laeteviridis

Description

Shrub or tree to 10(-21) m. Leaves alternate, glabrous to more or less pilose beneath, acuminate to caudate with acute to cordate base and nearly entire finely glandular dentate or sharply dentate, flat or recurved, margin, (narrowly) ovate to elliptic, 1¾-12 by l-4½ cm; Flowers in a raceme or panicle to 4½ cm, the axis clothed with hairs. Stamens 25-70. Ovary (appressedly) hairy, l-1½ mm high; Fruit white to bluish-black, (obliquely) ovoid to ellipsoid, 7-12 by (3-)5-6 mm. Seed 1, cylindrical to ellipsoidal or ovoid with straight embryo.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: Borneo present; Malaya present; Sulawesi (Sulawesi present), N. Sumatra present
Malesia: N. Sumatra, Malaya, Borneo, and Celebes.
