Description

Treelet 7-9 m, 20 cm Ø. Leaves in whorls of 4 or 5, sparsely long-pilose beneath, acuminate with cuneate base and glandular denticulate margin, obovate, 6½-11 by 2¼ -5 cm; Flowers in a reduced axillary fascicle-like spike; Stamens 70 to more than 100. Ovary glabrous. Fruit ellipsoid to cylindrical, immature whitish, 10-12 by c. 5 mm; Seed mostly 1, straight with straight embryo.
