Thailand and Malesia; in Malesia: Sumatra, Malay Peninsula, Java, Borneo, Philippines (Luzon, Leyte, Palawan).

Morphology

Some collections have distinctly stipitate fig receptacles, as it is mostly the case in var. elegantior, and others have non-stipitate ones, as it is mostly the case in var. recurva and var. urnigera.
