Description

Annual with fibrous roots. Leaves ½-⅓ as long as the stems, often curved, flat, rather abruptly acuminate, glabrous, or pubescent beneath, often ciliate on the margins, scabrid in the upper part, 1-2 mm wide; Inflorescence simple or compound, loose, diffuse, with several spikelets but sometimes reduced to a single spikelet, up to 5(-10)cm long and wide. Stamens 1(-2);
