Malesia: New Guinea, throughout the mountain ranges.
Taxonomy
Selliguea cretifera is similar to S. plantaginea and S. tafana, and difficult to distinguish from either. It is best recognised by the relatively thick coenosori. A few persistent scales may be found on the lamina.
