Description

Tree 5-25 m high and 8-47 cm Ø, sometimes myrmecophilous. Bark grey or light brown, flaky. Leaves spaced, spiral, subcoriaceous, oblanceolate, or elliptic, 15-55 by 11½-18 cm; Flowers greenish white or yellowish. Petals imbricate, ovate-oblong or elliptic, 2¼-4½ by 1-3 mm, puberulous outside, with 15-20 longitudinal veins. Stamens c. 3 mm; Panicles terminal, up to 32 cm long, pubescent; Ovary dome-shaped, 3-3½ mm Ø, densely pubescent;
