Description

Small tree up to 8 m high, or shrub 1-1½ m high. Leaves spaced, spiral, coriaceous, elliptic, obovate, or oblanceolate, 8-22(-29) by 3½-8(-9½) cm; Petals imbricate, ovate, sometimes elliptic, 1¾-2½ by 1-1¼ mm, sericeous outside, with c. 1 longitudinal veins. Stamens 2½-3 mm; Panicles terminal rarely also axillary, sometimes seemingly racemose, 6-10 cm long, pubescent; Ovary conical, 1¼ mm Ø, velutinous;
