Description

Tree, (5-)12-30, up to 40 cm Ø. Branchlets usually reddish-brown in dry specimens, glabrous. Leaves elliptic to obovate-elliptic, apex ± abruptly acuminate for c. 1 cm, tip generally bluntish, base gradually cuneate-acuminate to the petiole, coriaceous, dark brown and shining above when dry, practically glabrous with age, 7-15 by 4-6(-8) cm, nerves c. 5 (rarely -7) pairs, rather straight in the lower, curved ascending in the distal part, slightly raised beneath, reticulation almost obsolete;
