Kibara warenensis

Description

Shrub to 2 m, glabrous. Leaves oblong or oblan-ceolate-oblong, 18-27 by 5.2-8.2 cm, coriaceous, base rounded to broadly cuneate, apex shortly acu-minate or acute, margin spinulose dentate, midrib, lateral nerves and reticulation prominent below; Inflorescences axillary, of compact fasciculate cymes, glabrous, c. 10 mm long.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical, Vogelkop Peninsula present, West New Guinea present
Malesia: West New Guinea (Vogelkop Peninsula).

Notes

The glabrous fasciculate inflorescence combined with the spinulose dentate leaves are dis-tinctive.
