Description
Shrub or tree up to 5(-8) m tall.
Branchlets often drying red-brown.
internal hairs few or absent.
Leaves distichous;
stipules semi-amplexicaul, 0.5-1(-1.2) cm long, (minutely) puberulous on the keel, caducous.
Distribution
Asia-Tropical: Philippines (Philippines present), Palawan present
Philippines (widespread, not in Palawan?).
Notes
The species is rather variable and several varieties were distinguished (by Merrill 1921; Sata 1944; and Corner 1960).
