Description

Erect or ascending herb or subshrub up to c. 2 m high; Leaves: Stipules linear, subulate, 2.5-6 mm. Petals oblong, c. 4 mm. Stamens 10.

Widely cultivated in the tropics as a cover crop and for fodder despite weedy tendencies. Recorded from the Solomon Islands (Verdcourt 1. c.).
