Description

Tree up to 25 m tall of intermittent growth with terminal and axillary buds, deciduous (?). Leaves distichous; stipules lateral, 0.3-0.5 cm long, brownish puberulous, caducous. stamen 1 mm long, anther c. 0.2 mm long; fruits subglobose, c. 1.5 diameter.

Taxonomy

2The species is probably closely related to A. tomentosulus. 1The species can be recognised by the large lamina with the lateral veins frequently forked or branched away from the margin.
