Malesia: Papua New Guinea. The only other collection is Clemens 12110 D, from a branch of the Buso River, Morobe District, at 1500-1800 m (MICH); this is a less mature plant with longer apical lamina than the type; it differs also in having a few glands on the lower surface of pinnae.
