Taxonomy
When first describing this species (as A. persoriferun forma latipinna) Alderwerelt mentioned a cultivated plant from Borneo; the specimens from this are here cited as lectotype. As noted by Christensen (1934) this species is allied to T. crenata, but I have seen no evidence of hybridization.
