Description

Tree up to 10 m (or more?) tall. internal hairs abundant, brown. Leaves spirally arranged or (sub)opposite; stipules c. 2-3 cm long, brown strigose, caducous.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical, Eastern present
Malesia: New Guinea (eastern).

Taxonomy

The species shows clear affinities to F. pachyrrhachis from which it differs in the less frequent branched or furcate lateral veins and in the shorter basal bracts.
