Ficus pleyteana

Description

Tree up to 10 m tall. internal hairs absent or sparse. Leaves (sub)distichous; stipules 1-1.6 cm long, (sparsely) brownish to whitish strigillose to subsericeous, subpersistent.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: Maluku (Maluku present), Halmahera present
Malesia: Moluccas (Halmahera).

Taxonomy

This species is distinct from related ones, F. parvibracteata and F. cuneata, in the relatively long stipules, the relatively long basal bracts, the short petiole, and the pronouncedly ribbed fig receptacle.
