Description

Shrub or treelet up to 3 m tall. internal hairs absent or sparse. Leaves spirally arranged, ± tufted; stipules 1.8-3 cm long, dark brown subsetose-hirsute, (sub)persistent.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: New Guinea present
Malesia: New Guinea.

Morphology

The long stiff hairs are blackish in living material. The lamina can be ± sagittate-pandurate or without constriction in its lower part.
