Ficus adelpha

Description

Tree up to 15 m tall. internal hairs sparse to abundant, white to brown. Leaves (sub)distichous to spirally arranged (or subopposite); stipules 0.5-1.8 cm long, brown strigose, caducous.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: New Guinea present
Malesia: New Guinea.

Morphology

This species can be readily recognized by the dark-hairy small figs on branchlets with short internodes and brown strigillose stipules.
