Description

Root-climber. Branchlets drying brown to blackish. internal hairs absent. Leaves distichous; stipules 0.3-0.6 cm long, sparsely appressed-puberulous, caducous. Stamens 2.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: New Guinea present
New Guinea.

Taxonomy

This species shows affinities to F. distichoidea, from which it clearly differs in the shortly mucronate acumen of the lamina (which is minutely retuse in F. distichoidea) and the smaller figs with shorter peduncles and basal bracts.
