Description

Stipules, stipular scars or stipular glands present. Inflorescences cauliflorous or terminal, consisting of sparsely branched or unbranched flower- in,; Flowers bisexual or male and female. Ovaries solitary or up to 5(-14), sessile. Seeds usually imbedded in the segmented pericarp.
