Description
Hairs on rachis, both surfaces, to more than 1 mm long, with shorter ones also on lower surface.
Distribution
Asia-Tropical: Borneo present (Sabah present, Sarawak present), G. Mulu present, Mt Kinabalu present
Malesia: Borneo (Sabah: Mt Kinabalu, many specimens; Sarawak: G. Mulu).
Notes
This is closely allied to S. hirsutus but is smaller and much more densely hairy, with copiously setose sporangia. A specimen from 2275 m on G. Mulu has few sori which have small glabrous indusia.
