Leaves membranous or chartaceous, elliptic-oblong to oblong-lanceolate, sometimes ± parallel-sided, 17-40(-50) by 5-14 cm, base ± rounded or (short-)attenuate, apex acute-acuminate (in New Britain rarely short-caudate);
Inflorescences among the lower leaves, woolly-pubescent, hairs 0.5-1 mm;
Fruits 3-15 per infructescence, subglobose or broadly ellipsoid to fusiform, apex rounded or acutish, 1.2-2.8 by 1-1.8 cm, densely pubescent or partly glabrescent, hairs 0.5 mm, usually finely lenticellate-tuberculate;
