Osmoxylon serratifolium

Description

Sparingly branched shrub to 5 m. Inflorescence a terminal compound umbel c. 30 cm ø; Stamens 5-6, exserted, filaments 7 mm long, anthers 2 mm long. Ovary 3 mm long, 5-celled. Fruit unknown.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: Philippines (Philippines present), Camiguin present, Leyte present, Panay present
Malesia: Philippines (Leyte, Camiguin, Panay).

Notes

The flowers are orange-yellow (salmon), the fruits dark purple.
The inflorescence is very similar to that of 34. O. eminens, but the leaves lack the many strong fan-like ribs of that species.
