Description

Tree up to 6 m tall. internal hairs absent. Leaves laxly spirally arranged to (sub)distichous; stipules 0.5-1 cm long, glabrous, caducous (or subpersistent?).

Distribution

Asia-Tropical, Eastern present
Malesia: New Guinea (eastern)

Taxonomy

This species has been included in F. ternatana by Corner (1965), but it is currently treated as distinct, being clearly different in the cauliflory, the smaller figs, the glabrous stipules, and the presence of waxy glandular spots.
