Description

Tree up to 8 m tall. internal hairs sparse, pale brown. Leaves spirally arranged; stipules 2.2-3 cm long, glabrous, caducous.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: New Guinea present, New Ireland present
Malesia: New Guinea (New Ireland).

Taxonomy

This species is closely related to F. porrecta, from which it differs in the glabrous plant parts and the caducous stipules.
