Tree up to 15 m tall.internal hairs absent or sparse and brownish.Leaves spirally arranged;stipules 2-6 cm long, white appressed-puberulous to brown hirtellous to substrigose on the keel, (sub)persistent.

This species shows in many features similarities to F. minahassae and F. pungens.
