Description

Tree, up to 10 m, 20 cm dbh. Leaf-blade 8-16 by 2-5(-7.5) cm; Inflorescences up to 12 cm long; Sepals: Petals whitish, when dry dark orange red, the longest one 10.5 mm long; Stamens: Ovary half-patently hairy, up to 1.5 mm stipitate, inserted on a rather wide, minutely hairy receptacle; Fruit globular, c. 1.7 cm diam., dark, shortly patently hairy;

Asia-Tropical: Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present), Cameron Highlands present, Fraser's Hill present, G. Benom present
Malesia: Malay Peninsula (Cameron Highlands, Fraser's Hill, G. Benom).
